Fall is truly one of the best seasons for hosting a party thanks to its perfect weather and naturally beautiful landscape. 

Creative and Fun Fall Party Ideas

Camarel Apple Party

Who doesn’t enjoy a good caramel apple? With apple orchards typically being opened during this time, you could even make this party a full day’s event. Start by visiting a local apple orchard and going apple-picking. At the actual party, set up a caramel apple bar filled with different dipping sauces (chocolate, caramel, etc.) and toppings (chopped nuts, sprinkles, etc.).

You can have guests dress up full apples or cut the into slices and stick them on skewers. While they’re drying, consider playing a few apple-themed games like bobbing for apples.

Pumpking Decorating Party

These are always a huge hit and are enjoyed by young and old alike. There are many ways to decorate a pumpkin so it’s a good idea to provide your guests with different colored acrylic paint, a variety of paintbrush sizes, and some embellishment. Glitter, jewels, and ribbons are just a few things people can use to decorate their pumpkins.

There’s also the option of carving the pumpkin and turning them into jack-o-lanterns. If a guest chooses to go this route, make sure they cut and clean out their pumpkin before decorating it.

Chili Cook Off

The Fall season is typically when the weather starts to get a bit cooler, which is the perfect time for hosting a chili cookoff. Make it a neighborhood gathering or host it with family and friends. Have everyone bring their favorite chili to share with others and have a judge or two pick the best one. Don’t forget to have a few prizes for the winners!

Fall Craft Party

Invite your crafty girlfriends over for an afternoon or evening to make a fall craft that can be used as decor in their home. The most common fall crafts to make are wreaths, a tablescape centerpiece, and/or a porch sign. This is also something that can be turned into a bring-your-own craft and allow people to work on whatever they want. 

Another fall craft idea is to have everyone bring some of their craft supplies and other materials to share with others. Then, everyone can grab from the pile and see what they come up with.

Fall Dessert Party

This creative party idea would involve everyone bringing a fall-inspired dessert to share with everyone and having a snacking good time. Put together a mini drink bar with beverages that compliment fall desserts. A few drinks to consider having are apple cider, hot chocolate, and/or spiced latte.

Fun Fall Game Night

Depending on if you’re hosting kids or adults, grab a few games that are friendly for each age group and play a few rounds. If you want to play fall-inspired games, consider fall-themed bingo or a scavenger hunt. Turn it into a potluck by asking your guests to bring their favorite fall dish, dessert, or beverage.

Football Party

Fall time is also known for one of America’s favorite sports – football. If football is a common thing in your home, invite some friends over to watch one of the big games. Go all out and decorate for your favorite team, grab some football-themed party plates, napkins, and utensils. And don’t forget the party favorite foods. 

Depending on how many people you’ll have over, go for providing finger foods, veggie trays, and other appetizer-friendly meals. This will make hosting and cleanup a breeze!

Halloween Party

Since Halloween falls in this season, it only makes sense to have a Halloween party (especially if you have kids). There are lots of things you can do from setting up a haunted back yard, having a costume party, or binge watching some of your favorite scary movies. Don’t forget the spooky decorations, Halloween crafts for kids, and Halloween-inspired food and drinks!
