Why You Should Make a Candy Wreath

There are many reasons why candy wreaths are super fun to make; they’re bright, colorful, and you can buy a whole bunch of candy for a fairly cheap price. Not to mention, this edible wreath is very easy to assemble, making it perfect for kids. 

A Candy Wreath For Every Occasion 

There’s easter candy, Christmas candy, Valentine’s day candy, and even Halloween candy. With so many different kinds of candy to choose from, you can make the perfect edible wreath for every holiday. 

What You’ll Need

• Styrofoam Wreath Base 
• Hot Glue Gun
• Edible Glue 
• Ribbon 
• Candy

Instructions

Start by knotting your ribbon to the styrofoam base. You can use any color ribbon you want, but we recommend a rainbow pattern to go with your colorful candy or mix things up with ribbons of multiple colors. Once you’ve gotten your ribbon tied nice and tight, it’s time to start placing your candy on your wreath base. 

Take your glue gun and fill it with edible glue. Suppose you’re not sure where to get your hands on edible glue. Start placing down dots of glue along the circumference of your wreath, sticking pieces of candy down as you go. Try mix and matching candy of different shapes, colors, and textures for the best possible effects. You can even use the candy to spell out words or create different shapes and patterns. You can fill your wreath as much as you want, with as many different kinds of candy as you want, by gluing smaller pieces of candy onto the larger ones on the base.

Not sure what candy you’d like to use? We recommend Skittles, Starburst, Sour Patch Kids, Jolly Ranchers, and gummy bears. 

For the chocolate lovers out there, try mini chocolate bars such as Hershey’s, snickers, mars, Twix, Maltesers, and M&Ms. The sky is the limit. Mix things up and let your imagination run will create magic!. 

Once you’ve placed down your candy, please leave it to set, and there you go, your candy wreath is ready! Don’t forget to take lots of pictures of your one-of-a-kind candy wreath because chances are it won’t last long.
