DIY Disinfectant Kitchen Spray

Many disinfectant cleaning sprays you find at your local market may claim to be natural yet have an ingredient list of 20 items that you can’t pronounce. This DIY kitchen disinfectant spray has 3 ingredients and may save you a trip to the grocery store!

Supplies:

Isopropyl Alcohol

Hydrogen Peroxide

Essential Oils

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Lemon Essential Oil

Lavendar Essential Oil

Steps:

Fill a glass bottle almost halfway full of Isopropyl alcohol, also known as rubbing alcohol. It’s important that it is at least 70% alcohol in order to disinfect surfaces!

Next, add ½ teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. It is said that viruses can be eliminated with disinfectants that contain alcohol as well as .5% hydrogen peroxide.

Add disinfecting essential oils.

Oils such as Tea Tree, Lemon, Lavender, and Eucalyptus have natural disinfectant properties. Add about 15 drops of each of these or your desired scent. Eliminate odors AND disinfect!

I love to use this spray on hard surfaces like doorknobs, countertops, bathroom counters, the stove, toilet handles, trashcans, and more!
