DIY Home Sweet Home Apple Wreath
This apple design is so cute! Vamp up your Summer decor and let’s create this sweet ruffle wreath.
METHOD
Ruffle
SUPPLIES
13in Green work wreath frame
Ribbon
2.5″ Red, white and green ribbon
1.5 Black and white checkered apple ribbon
1.5″ Black and white gingham ribbon
STEPS:
Begin by cutting your red jute mesh into 20-inch sections.
To create the ruffles I wanted to go for a messy look just for fun. I held out a piece of my mesh and just pulled the middle together. If you’d still like to go with placing the mesh on a flat surface and running your thumbs up the middle to create a bow tie form, it still applies to this wreath!
After placing a ruffle in the bottom rungs of the work wreath I will tie in my ribbon. Cut all ribbon at 12-inches. I used the red, white, and green stripe ribbon in each of my two combos. (Apple ribbon with red, white, and green ribbon) (Blacker checker ribbon with red, white, and green ribbon) Continue with ruffle mesh and ribbon to the top rung!
To create a breath-taking oversized bow for my wreath I used a Bowdabra. My favorite bow-making tool in my craft arsenal! I used all 3 designs of ribbon.
Attaching your sign is a breeze! I Used a hole punch to make holes in all 4 corners of the sign and ran floral wire through each corner then through the front of your wreath to the back.
