DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub

Summer is rough. We are constantly on the search for products to balance out the oiliness of our skin with not all of them being the healthiest choices.

This natural sugar scrub can be made with ingredients found right inside your pantry and give you that healthy looking glow that you yearn for this Summer!

Ingredients:

 2 Cups Pure Cane Sugar

1 Cup Organic Cold-Pressed Coconut oil or Jojoba Oil for sensitive skin

Lemons

Lemon Essential Oil

Vanilla Essential Oil

Start by pouring 2 cups of sugar into a medium sized bowl.

Heat up one cup of coconut oil in the microwave because its natural state is in solid form. If you have sensitive skin, Jojoba oil or almond oil are great alternatives!

Mix together both the sugar and coconut oil. You can add oil or sugar to your liking to alter the consistency.

I add 10 drops of Lemon essential oil to the mixture.

Add only a few drops of Vanilla essential oil for a fresh pound cake smell!

Last, add lemon peel. Use a grater to skin the outside of the lemon. You can choose to add as little or as much as you like. Lemon is a wonderful natural ingredient for the skin and it also gives your scrub a touch of color and a zesty scent!

Your lemon sugar scrub should best keep in a glass container because it does have essential oils. Your scrub should last 1-3 months in an airtight container!

This amount is enough to fill a Mason jar.

Keep for yourself or give it as a gift! Enjoy!
