How To Make A Watermelon Wreath

Are you in the midst of transitioning your decor for Spring? Watermelon decor is trending and adds the perfect splash of color to your home! Check out this DIY watermelon wreath that is both cute and budget-friendly.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Ribbon

Most supplies can be found at Trendy Tree or Hardworkingmomstore

STEPS:

Begin by cutting one roll of red jute mesh into 20-inch sections. Also, tie your pipe cleaners onto the work wreath. You will place 9 ties on the bottom rung and 7 ties on the top rung. This tells us that we have to cut 16 ribbons using both designs.  Cut your ribbon into 11-inch sections.

Next, we want to ruffle our red mesh but running our thumbs straight up the middle to form a bow-tie shape. Hold your ruffle in the middle and secure it into a tie on the bottom rung. Place a ribbon combo on top of the mesh and secure with the same tie. Be sure to cut the access! Continue to ruffle your mesh to fill each tie and place your ribbon combos on top.

If you’d like to add a bow, my Bowdabra makes creating the perfect oversized bow a breeze!

To place your sign on your wreath, I punched holes in the top and bottom of my sign and used floral wire to run the wire through the holes and down through to the frame of my wreath.
