5 DIY Spa Day Ideas

To be pampered is like a little sneak peek into heaven. What’s your ideal spa day? Manicure and pedicure, massage, facials? Oftentimes, we have to make an appointment and take the time out of our work schedule or daily routine to be present and it may seem like a burden… Self-care needs to be a priority so instead of going through the trouble to go out to a spa, let the spa come to you. This is a great idea if you are looking to social distance but are still in need of that spa day! Check out these 5 DIY spa day ideas!

Bathtime Aromas

Slipping into a warm bath is a MUST. First, let’s set the tone for a relaxing soak.  I love essential oils to calm my mind. My favorites are by Eden’s Garden and you can find them in my shop here. Simply take your favorite oil and massage it into the back of your neck, behind your ears, or decolletage.

DIY Body Scrub

A good scrub can feel so luxurious and relaxing when you’ve had a rough week! As you know Hard Working Mom loves DIY recipes and one of the most popular is our DIY Lemon Sugar Scrub using all-natural ingredients. Perfect for that Springtime pick-me-up scent!

Natural Facials

There’s nothing like a facial to treat and smooth your skin.  Some all-natural ingredients we like to use as facials are:

  • Aloe Vera- Hydration & Inflammatory
  • Avocado, Honey, Yogurt- Hydration & Brightening
  • Banana, Milk, Honey- Hydration & Glow

DIY Body Hydration

Avoid that dry desert feeling when you step out of the bath and create your own body butter. This hydrating DIY Body Butter recipe uses ingredients that are more than likely already in your pantry!

Nail Care

Tired of dry nail beds that you can see from a mile away? Cuticle oil will be your best friend! Oils like Olive, Avocado, and Jojoba will keep your cuticle healthy and your nails strong. Add in essential oils for scent and you have the perfect DIY cuticle oil. Enjoy your DIY spa day!
