How To Make a Valentines Truck Wreath Poof And Ruffle Method

Hello, Lori here today I wanted to change it up and help you get ready for the next season. I figured it would be a good time to start Valentine’s decor. One of the best parts about transitioning is you can use leftover materials from Christmas since red is a popular color for Valentines’ too!

To get started with this wreath you will need 1 roll of 21-inch mesh. We will be doing the poof and ruffle method. First I will open all my ties up on my work-frame. Now I already know that when I pull my mesh 1,2,3 times in my hand that it creates a 10″ section. If you need to measure that is okay to do so. I will pull this mesh 1,2,3 and then place it into my ties. I will go all the way around doing this and when I get to the top section you can either place a zip tie closest to the tie or you can just keep going with your poofs.

Adding ruffles really helps bring out the depth of the wreath and adds more to it. We will cut our ruffles 20-inches. I am using two different mesh one that is jute with red foil, and the other one is a red mesh with tensile. I will alternate these ruffles placing them where each tie is over the poof.

After we have placed the ruffles we will add our ribbons. I picked a red sparkle ribbon, a checker jute color ( this works great without truck sign and the ruffle mesh). I also added a black with hearts to really give it a POP. I cut these ribbons at 12-inches. I will take two together and fold them in half and create a pinch in the middle where the fold is, then I will place them into the ties. Doing this process all the way around the wreath.

Let’s add the truck! I will take my command hooks and glue them onto the back of the truck and then take my pipe cleaners and slip them through the holes in the back. I placed them in 4 different places. I want to make sure the sign is not going to come off.

Hard Working Mom Tip:(Now if your truck is thick wood and can be stapled you can do that too vs using the command hooks.)

Attaching this sign to the frame, I will place this truck on top of the poofs so it stands out. If you want your sign to be tucked place in where the ties are.
