How To Make a Sunglasses Wreath with Ruffles and Curls
As we transition our Spring decor to Summer, we usually look for vivid colors and fun vibes. This wreath is nothing short of that! Sunglasses Sign
15in Pink work wreath frame
10in Purple with purple edge mesh
1.5 White, Purple, and pink stripes
STEPS:
Begin by cutting both colors of mesh into 35 inch sections.
Create ruffles by placing mesh sections on a flat surface and running your thumb up the middle to create a bow tie effect. Place the ruffle in a tie on the bottom level of the wreath. Continue creating ruffles and alternating colors as you tie them onto the work wreath.
After cutting your ribbon into 12 inch sections, put these ribbon combos together.
- Pink cotton burst with white, pink, and purple stripes layered on top
- Turquoise cotton burst with purple swiss dots layered on top
Take your first combo and also a curl (Use a section of mesh to lay curl side up on a flat surface. Tighten the natural curl and wah-lah!) and place them both in a tie on the wreath.
Continue alternating curl mesh colors and ribbon combos around the wreath.
To attach my sign, I’m going to use pipe cleaners. Take a pipe cleaner and fold up a few times on the end and use a staple gun to adhere it to the sign. Do the same with the second pipe cleaner on the bottom of the sign. Run the pipe cleaners through the back of the wreath and tie.
